A car dealership in Michigan is offering up to $5 million for a new Jeep at an auction that promises to offer a glimpse of the future.
The company says the new Jeep is expected to be unveiled in October, and is being offered as part of a collection of Jeeps from the brand’s Jeep division.
The sale of the new car will be conducted by the J.D. Power and Associates Auctioneers, which manages the auction.
The auction will take place Oct. 28 in Nashville.
Jeep has struggled to make money since the global recession, with sales plunging to a record low of 3.9 million in September, according to auto sales data from Kelley Blue Book.
The brand’s latest loss came in April, when the company reported a net loss of $527.7 million.
